bumble & butter Wins Silver in Cereals & Granola sofi™ Awards!

We are so excited to announce that bumble & butter won the Silver award in the Cereals & Granola Category as part of the Specialty Food Association’s (SFA) 2020 sofi™ Awards!!

The sofi Awards are like the Oscars in the $158 billion specialty food industry. In fact, we will be receiving a silver trophy with our name engraved shortly... :)

In our first year of entering our products, our Vanilla Bean Granola was one of 148 winners selected by a panel of specialty food experts from nearly 2,000 entries across 39 product categories. Products are judged on taste, including flavor, appearance, texture and aroma, ingredient quality and innovation. All tastings are blind.

In 2017, when I started my business as a student, my vision for the company wasn't much more than connecting with my community and showing them how delicious granola really can be. It's an incredible honor to see that our efforts have been recognized by the industry!

I was inspired to create a vanilla bean granola after a memorable encounter with a tea + spice shop in Greenwich Village years back - there, I got a whiff of pure, ground Papua New Guinea vanilla beans in a glass jar. I was so taken aback by its intense aromas that I had to go home immediately and play with it. I'm not sure how much I tossed into my batch, but I can tell you, it was GENEROUS. Out came a beautifully speckled granola and the most pure vanilla I had ever tasted. It was like a good secret that I couldn't keep to myself.
