Back in 2016, Jamie stumbled upon a tiny spice store in the West Village of NYC, lined with glass jars holding organic loose leaf teas and global spices. As soon as she opened a jar of ground vanilla beans from Madagascar, she was taken aback by the intense aroma. It was then that she realized, she had never had truly quality vanilla before. As soon as she went home, she scooped a large spoonful into her next batch of granola to see if it would taste as good as it smelled.
